New Play Area
Pupils from Blackfield Primary School were thrilled to have had a recent visit from one of their Parish Councillors to let them know they are going to get a new play area at Gang Warily Recreation and Community Centre.
Cllr Allan Glass who is Vice - Chairman of Fawley Parish Council thrilled the youngsters by pointing out the different pieces of equipment available which included a zip wire on 2 of the designs and various other elements.
Cllr Glass said:
"Its been a great pleasure for me today, we want the youngsters to decide on the winning design and show them we listen to them by then having it built’, I am sure the new play area will be well used once it is complete".
Funding for the play area has come from Developers Contributions held by NFDC and is the first in a number of projects planned by Fawley Parish Council in several locations.
Fawley Parish Council were also successful recently in obtaining funds from Hampshire County Council to carry out some activities at Calshot on a weekly basis and the council will be meeting with the residents groups there to decide what activities they would like soon.
The Parish Council is eager to hear from its residents about a range of issues or concerns and can be contacted on 023 8089 0761 or e mail clerk@fawleyparishcouncil.org.uk
