Cafe at Gang Warily

Services are on the increase at Gang Warily Sport Centre as they opened their very own café.

 

Users and visitors to the centre can now enjoy latte’s, cappuccinos Panini’s and cakes after they finish their sessions or to take down to the fishing lake and enjoy in the sun.

 

The café which is staffed by volunteers is open Monday –Friday 10am till 3pm with late night opening planned for Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

 

The Parish Clerk Steve Nash said, ‘we want to increase the number of families who come here and encourage them to linger a while, kids can enjoy milkshakes and ice creams and take part in a whole range of kids activities while parents work out or relax’.

 

Activities at the centre have been on the increase for some time now with a new bigger play area planned for this year and the possibility of some paddle boats on the lake.

 

Chairman of the Council Cllr Bob Wappett said,

'We are looking to provide more activities and services to local residents and we are increasing the local partnerships we are involved with to make this happen. Our volunteers give their time freely and have helped us increase our activities significantly while they obtain qualifications themselves, I am very pleased with recent developments'.
