Calshot Spit

The hamlet of Calshot, with its pebbly beach and Spit offers a host of activities for all the family, as well as being an area of historical interest.

The Castle originates back to Tudor times, while Calshot is notable for its role in the development of
aircraft and flying boats.

The original WWII flying boat hangar is now an activity centre for watersports, including kite-surfing, climbing, snowboarding and track cycling.

Along the popular beach are a large number of beach huts, which are all privately owned, as well as a popular cafe.
