Cold callers offering block paving

Hampshire County Council’s Trading Standards Service is warning the public to be wary of cold callers at the door offering block paving>. Reports have been received from the Fareham and Portchester areas, but the warning applies to all of Hampshire. Bicycle Thefts

Please be aware that thieves are now targeting bicycles that are attached to the back of vehicles parked in the New Forest, especially in the Forest’s campsites and car parks. The thieves are using bolt cutters to break through any chains that are being used to secure the bicycles to the racks on the backs of vehicles. There are now bicycle locks that are alarmed and can be used to secure your bicycle to your vehicle.
